The worldwide unique 24-hour-downhill “race the night” powered by Almdudler will take place for the fourth time. On this weekend, the bikers will literally light up the magic mountain while racing down the illuminated trail!

The 24-hour mountainbike downhill is a highlight in the biking season at Zau[:ber:]g Semmering. For many national and international racers, this event has become a fixture in their race calendars. The race – known for its unique atmosphere – is an exceptional event in the whole world!
On this weekend, the bikers will literally light up the magic mountain while racing down the illuminated trail, like the ski-slopes in the winter time, which was created especially for this event. The audience can enjoy free entrance and will experience a great show with thrilling mountainbike action and engrossing duels. The never ending racing action and the extensive entertaining programme around the race offer fun round the clock.

the participators
As unique the event is, as unique the participators are! From whole europe the participants gather at semmering to join the race - pro's, amateures as well as bank directors, managers and mayors - the 24h Downhill attracts them all!

In the main discipline of the 24h Downhill, a big fight broke out, which the newcomer from Tirol, Daniel Tulla, could win. Daniel won against the favorite and 2-times winner, Martin Strasser, after a 15 hour lasting hard fight and also got the new round-record with unbelievable 161 rounds.

Daniel made no breaks during the 24 hours, reached incognizable 161 round, completed around 563,5km in the saddle with a pure downhil time of  10 hours and all that with even faster rounds than the bulk of the teamriders. His commentary afer lifting the heavy challenge cup: "My target was to reach the top 5. I was surprised that it worked out so well! After Martin Strasser and Julian Schopf had to quit the race, I realised that I could got for the win. I'm super happy with my achievement and I'm thrilled about the win!

Entertainment programme
DJ’s in the Slope-Inn area and various live-acts in the ZauberBAR guarantee great music that will make the audience party all 24 hours long and with a bit of luck, you may even win a Specialized mountainbike in the prize lottery.

The 4th 24-hour-downhill “race the night” powered by Almdudler will start on Saturday, the 7th of August at 12 o’clock midday with a traditional LeMans Start at the summit of the Zau[:ber:]g. This means that the participants will first have to run up the mountain a few meters before getting to their bikes and actually beginning the race. Then, the bikers race down an approx. 3500m long trail that is partly composed of already existing trails. The Zau[:ber:]g cable car guarantees a comfortable ascent to the mountain during the 24-hour race. The participants start in different categories as single, or as a team of two, four or six riders.

This year’s winning heroes at Zau[:ber:]g Semmering will be declared on Sunday at 12 o’clock midday after the race is over and all participants will have travelled a distance of approx. 60000km.

Registration: The online registration starts on the 1st of may 2010 at 18 o clock! Here you'll finde the online registration. according to the registration time you will get your starting place - LeMans Start. Every person has to register on it's own and has to announce the team name. No registration by phone. If you are not attending the race you won't receive your money back, except your are injured and have a medical certificate. The medical certificate has to be sent by E-Mail, including the team name and all the personal information to peter.wurzinger@hirschenkogel.at  latest by 23rd of August 2010!

entry fee: € 65 per person, not per team + € 5,- for time keeping chip per singlestarte / per team.The entry fee includes lift tickets for 7th and 8th of august 2010, pasta- and drinkstation as well as massage.IMPORTANT!!! Please necessarily bring your transfer voucher of the entry fee to the race registration. If you don't show your transfer voucher at teh registration, you'll have to pay the registration fee again!

chip deposit: Please take € 40,- chip deposit to the race registration, in cash. When returning the chip after the race at the registration, you'll get the money back.

Day license: All the riders wihtout an official race license have to buy an day license (insurance) for € 5,-. Can be payed, only in cash, during the rae registration on  7h or 8th  of august.

Trainer / Advisor: Advisor can buy an ticket to use the lift and to get access to the changing zone to support their rider/s. Advisor fee: € 15,- Maximum 1 Advisor per Team! Must be payed, in cash only, at the race registration.
